Anime 5E Updated PDF Files and Expansions Kickstarter

Happy Tuesday, backers! It’s been a while since you’ve received your Anime 5E RPG rewards and we hope you and your gaming group are enjoying them. We are reaching out with two quick updates that tie to your Anime 5E pledge:

First, the Anime 5E RPG core rules and Pocket Edition PDF files from your pledge were updated earlier this year. If you haven’t done so already, you can log into your DriveThruRPG account to update them for free in your library.

Second, we launched a new Anime 5E Kickstarter today for six awesome world setting and monster expansion/accessories. This includes:

•  Folstavia: The Infinite Crossroads – The official prime Anime 5E world, featuring a spectrum of fantasy sub-genre settings
•  Monstrum Libri Volume 1: Woodlands and Mountains – The monster manual for beasts that primarily reside in woodlands and mountain habitats

Anime 5E SRD and Fundraising Indiegogo

Nearly everyone outside the UK should have received your Anime 5E pledges by now (and we’ve been in email communication with UK backers about the delay). If you have yet to receive your package, please email [email protected] directly, rather than sending us a message through Kickstarter or posting a comment here or on social media. Anime 5E SRD Now Available!

With pledges shipped, we have released the Anime 5E System Reference Document (SRD) that you unlocked as a stretch goal. Dyskami’s Game Bundle Fundraiser

Starting today Dyskami is hosting a game sale fundraiser to help offset Anime 5E game designer Mark MacKinnon’s medical expenses.

Mark has been enduring extreme pain as a result of a “frozen shoulder” (also known as “adhesive capsulitis”), which has impacted both his personal and professional publishing life. Fortunately, he has recently booked treatment at a specialised private medical clinic to resolve the condition in mid-August at a cost approaching $25,000. All sale proceeds raised during Dyskami’s Indiegogo campaign will help fund Mark’s procedure, so if you’ve been thinking about purchasing another Anime 5E (or other RPG) product or two, it’s a great way to do so!

Computer Fixed and Anime 5E Shipping Update

Good morning, backers. Thank you for your patience with us being less responsive for the past week with our frustrating primary computer failure. We are finally back up and running (thanks, Time Machine!) and should catch up on the backlog in the next day or two.

Latest Anime 5E Fulfilment Update

➡️ US Warehouse

We’ve been told that shipping continues but they remain behind schedule due to staffing issues. Consequently, the original end-of-May deadline will not be met – but no precise revised timeline has been provided yet. They have identified recent bottlenecks and have worked to make the process more efficient. Furthermore, they believe the issue with tracking number email notifications has been solved moving forward. Emails should come from [email protected], so please keep an eye on your spam filter as well.

➡️ Canada

Warehouse indicates they are about a week from completing shipping.

➡️ EU/UK

We finally heard an update from the warehouse that fulfilment will start for EU addresses next week – significantly later than we were lead to believe. We haven’t heard from the UK warehouse specifically, but we do know that the product has arrived there.

➡️ AUS/INT

Pledges have shipped to other destinations. Due to long transit times, not all international backers will have received their products yet. We believe that tracking numbers were sent.

Troubleshooting Shipping

If you haven’t received your pledge yet, please continue being patient – the wait will soon be over. Remember that some backer was the first to ship out and some backer will be the last to ship out (and this may be your pledge that’s last out the door). The individual warehouses all have their own systems for ordering package shipments, and it’s not possible to predict when your specific pledge will be shipped.

We do not have access to tracking numbers, we do not know when your shipment will arrive, and we do not have any other information than what we have posted above. If you contact us us asking for information about your shipment, we will have no other answer than pointing you to this Kickstarter update. We are very sorry it’s been so frustrating these past few weeks in particular.

Once we reach mid-June (formerly end of May), we expect all warehouses will have shipped all the packages. If you still haven’t received yours (or at least a tracking number email) by June 15th, reach out to [email protected] and we’ll investigate for you. We thank you for your patience waiting until June 15th to contact us so we can ensure all packages have shipped.

Remember: there's no need to worry that you won't receive your pledge! If you paid for product and provided an accurate shipping address, we can say with absolute certainty that you will receive your Anime 5E rewards from us.

Once again, we appreciate your patience waiting for your pledges to arrive. We believe our warehouse partners underestimated the time it would take them to fulfil the many thousands of pledges under their current staff shortages, and we are very sorry communication from them has been inconsistent. When we have further details to share, we will certainly let you know.

Anime 5E Shipping Errors and Reshipments + Limited Computer Access

Hey everyone. As more and more backer are receiving their pledges, we have been receiving a few emails about fulfilment errors and shipping problems.

Before reaching out to us, please read Update #84 about timelines since your package may not have shipped yet or it may be on its way now. Please wait until the end of May before reaching out to us if your pledge hasn’t arrived yet.

As mentioned in multiple updates, emailing [email protected] is the best (and preferably, only) way to reach out to us with concerns.

The US and CDN warehouses (and hopefully EU and UK warehouse) are furiously working to get all pledges out the doors. Errors brought to our attention (such as missing or incorrect products) will be forwarded to their attention, but resolution may not be immediate due to their workload. Thank you for your patience.

Avoid DOUBLE SHIPPING Fees!

This is important information repeated from Update 77:

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to receive Anime 5E when it’s ready to fulfil. Everyone who pledged for a physical product paid a shipping fee through BackerKit, which will be applied to one shipment attempt. If your pledge shipment is not accepted for delivery or returned to the warehouse for any reason (other than our own fault, of course), you will need to pay the shipping fee again to receive your physical pledge. We will work with you to arrange payment of this second shipping fee through PayPal.

Below are a few reasons your shipment may not be successfully delivered:

• ➡ Address that you provided to us through BackerKit is incorrect or incomplete.
• ➡️ You live in a shared building that refuses or returns the package.
• ➡️ Someone living at your provided address refuses or returns the package.
• ➡️ Your package is held at a facility for you to pick up, and the facility returns it to the warehouse because you didn’t pick it up during their specified time.

Limited Dyskami Computer Access

Last week, the memory on the primary Dyskami production and marketing computer died. Since the memory is fused to the custom logic board, our computer at the shop for repairs for an estimated two weeks. Eek!

Fortunately, we have an excellent backup system and don’t expect to lose anything significant. We have computers and mobile devices we’re using during this time, but don’t have the same full range of archival files and data, and thus our interaction on social media and email is less optimal than usual. “Looking stuff up” has now become a time-consuming chore, but we’re doing our best with what we have. Thank you for your patience if we aren’t as responsive or communicative as usual.
