Anime 5E Second Edition? This comes pretty close!
about 1 month ago – Wed, Aug 26, 2026 at 05:56:10 AM

Hey, Anime 5E fans — it’s been a while. We hope you’re enjoying the 17 game products we’ve produced for the Anime 5E RPG line over the past few years. It’s been quite a ride!

If you’re searching for the “spiritual successor” of Anime 5E that implements a familiar, updated point-balanced framework, our upcoming new RPG Fantasy Heroes Unbound might be the perfect match.

Just as the 2024 edition of Dungeons and Dragons (v5.5), is a distinct entity that takes inspiration from the original 2014 5.0e, Fantasy Heroes Unbound reworks Anime 5E’s Point-based structure from the ground up, rebalances the mechanics, and presents an original experience for your fantasy storytelling adventures. In many ways, Fantasy Heroes Unbound can be viewed as a Second Edition of Anime 5E that breaks away from its anime roots to more closely align with the traditional D&D epic fantasy adventures that you know and love.

Don’t take our word for it, though – check it out for yourself! We have a free 32-page RPG Primer you can download right now on our BackerKit pre-launch page as we prepare for our September 8 crowdfunding launch in a couple of weeks. Visit:

Thanks for giving Fantasy Heroes Unbound a look. 👍
